Riddle Wheels - Preschool iPhone Education GameOn Nov 26 Katya - my niece came over here for her grandfather's birthday. She's nice 9-year old girl, who enjoys playing on her mobile, and she has very nice and clear voice, so I've asked her mom if we could steal Katya for couple hours.

A day before I've got in touch with a local sound recording studio, so that they'll be ready to work with us, even though it was Saturday. Katya lives in Moscow, and she speaks fluent English, as her father is from UK and they mainly speak English when at home. I do speak English too, however her voice is much more sounding like the native speaker, and also, we got an idea that having kid's voice in the game for kids is much better, than having some "oxford" accurate adult voice like we're all sitting on a dull lecture.

It was interesting and new experience for me - we had list of words prepared beforehand, and were dictating them one by one, guided by sound recording guy. Few days after he sent us the files, after cleaning out the noise and other post-processing. So, now we have our development team incorporating this into our iPhone game for kids - hope this all will go well, and we had our words list built accurately, so that we don't have to fly to Moscow to finalize the voice-overs if we find any missing words.
